Is there life in the old dog yet?⚫️ In TON, complaining has almost become an ecosystem-wide habit. To be fair, some of the criticism did not come out of nowhere: the GRAM price has been fairly quiet lately, and the broader market has not exactly been at its best either. So it is no surprise that any quiet period quickly turns into claims that the ecosystem is dead.
⚫️ But if you look beyond the mood in the chats, the picture is a little less bleak. Existing products are still shipping: wallets
are adding new features, DeFi services are
rolling out updates, and some teams are still launching new projects even in this kind of environment.
⚫️ One of the clearest examples is Teleton. We have already covered it
in a separate post, so we will not go too deep here. Let’s just say that right now it is probably the main continuation of the AI trend in TON. If you have not tried Teleton yet, it is worth
checking out what agents can already do — especially since project’s developer, Resistor, is building it solo and completely for free.
⚫️ Another example is the GroypFi team. They have already launched
Topblast, currently the most popular token launchpad on TON, and are now preparing
Gramstox — a platform for trading tokenized stocks on TON. At the same time, the team is not limiting itself to TON’s existing audience and is trying to reach users from outside the ecosystem, including trenchers from other networks.
⚫️ Some of the older TON teams are still building too. Meridian is a good example: it has been around since 2022, started as the first on-chain collection on TON, and has since grown into a large, active community. Now the team is preparing its own launchpad, which is expected to launch really soon.
⚫️ For all the criticism, TON is not an empty ecosystem. Builders are still here, products are still moving, and there is still enough strength for a new wave of activity. Hopefully, the next step of MTONGA will help bring more attention to the builders who are still here.
