⚫️The most notable addition is two-factor authentication via Telegram. You can now link the wallet to your personal Telegram account and confirm transfers, swaps, and other actions directly in the messenger.
⚫️Technically, this works thanks to the latest wallet version, which introduced plugin support. The 2FA plugin adds an extra approval condition for transactions, so even if an attacker gets your seed phrase, they still cannot simply sign and send a transaction.
⚫️The idea of 2FA in TON is not new. Back in late 2024, Mr. Freeman showed Zk2FA — a similar solution where confirming a transaction required entering a code from Google Authenticator. At the time, he even publicly shared the seed phrase for a wallet containing funds, but the money stayed where it was.
⚫️Back then, the problem was mostly usability. To make any transaction, users had to go to a separate website. In Gram Wallet, a similar mechanism has been adapted for regular users by adding 2FA directly into the app.
⚫️Of course, this feature is not for everyone, and active traders may find the extra step annoying. But if you are holding Gram long-term, 2FA is definitely worth trying.
