The rise of indoctrination (education) during the 19th century was instrumental in delivering mediocrity into government and creating a professional managerial class interested in lining their pockets rather than serving their communities. Is it any wonder that, when faced with a crisis, they scapegoat, pass the buck and point at Putin, all the while seeking to profit from the situation? The European elites have now sunk so low that Ukrainians are now convinced that NATO has a long way to go to get to their exacting standards!

However, Johnny Turk wasn't in a cooperative mood.

In the podcast, BB draws parallels with the current unfolding debacle in the same area of the world. Each General, serving and retired, feels that attention should be focused on them. Each one is positioning themselves for political or financial gain, while ignoring the basic requirements of military science, like logistics, tactics, and force allocation. As they fight to take the wheel of the military clown car, no one has noticed that the road is running out.

In the film, he talks about the mosaic of factions fighting in West Asia. The influence of the official leaders seems limited. Is the President of Lebanon powerful? What about Hamas? In order to understand what is going on, one needs to have a granular understanding of the pressures on Lebanese or Palestinian society. Ultimately, leaders rule by consent of those whom they rule.

In the podcast, BB talks about the European concept of power, and the influence of popular beliefs on the perception of self, and the likelihood that an individual will act on their beliefs. He talks about individualism and society, and the pragmatic issues that lead us to political solutions. The obvious dichotomy between the utterances of our leaders and the lived experience causes a breach of trust that, in turn, diminishes the leader's control over the population. If they still believe that they have that control, then it is a myth - one that will be defeated by reality.

Hong Xiuquan inspired millions of ordinary people to take up arms with a vision of the Heavenly Kingdom of Great Peace. Some 30 million Chinese perished as a result.

In the podcast, BB goes goes deeper into the reasons for the Taiping rebellion. He draws parallels with the situation in Western Europe and the United States. To ordinary people, government seems remote and self-serving, and culture is corrupt and doesn't reflect the people who have to consume it. Increasing numbers of people are marginalised, and their grievances remain unaddressed. In the event of a crisis, could these leaders lead? Or would the people follow a charismatic visionary with a message of inclusion?

When the British abolished slavery in 1833 in their own Empire, they extended the Act to allow the Royal Navy to interdict slavers operating on the high seas and who had no connection with the British Empire. This was the first time secular moral decisions were deemed universal and backed by lethal force.

In the podcast, BB explains the elements of sanctions, namely, a sense of moral outrage, economic control over the sanctioned polity, and the arms necessary to enforce your power violently. He goes on to explain why each of these elements has been defeated in turn by the enemies of the West. Ultimately, the military defeat of the United States in the Gulf means that sanctions are toothless and ineffective. In fact, those who sanction are becoming politically isolated and ignored by the nations outside their empire. The Chinese will stand by the river and wait for their enemies bodies to float by, even if they never said that.

Even if Trump goes, those who would replace him are just as bad, only in a way peculiar to themselves.

In the podcast, BB explains how it is that every potential leader in the West is as bad as each other. They operate in a system that rewards the worst aspects of our barbarian tendencies. Our democracy has failed, because the demos and the oligarchs are operating with the same moral values, that is no moral values at all, pretended or otherwise. With no higher purpose, barbarians will steal all they can, and mete violence on the weakest in our society. Sadly, we are the shit at the bottom of the swamp that produces the scum at the top.

Or are they individual Nietzchian supermen, changing society to their own will? Is there any hope for the ordinary people and their modest ambitions? When will ordinary people begin to ask the questions that will motivate them to take back control of their polities, and check the limitless criminality of the self-appointed elites? The Belgorod Brit rants about awards and honours that are being tossed about by the Western elites. Kier Starmer has been awarded the Legion d'Honneur, but no one is sure why. Is Starmer a hero to the French people? Zelensky is also a member. The latter has been showered with awards and medals from all over Europe, twelve since 2022. Machiavelli once said that it is the recipient that honours the award, not the other way around. In the current fantasy land inhabited by our elites, backslapping and mutual masturbation has now become so prevalent, that we focus on rewarding our friends for a job well done, well before any job has been done.

In the podcast, BB goes on another rant. In Western fantasy, the elites are all succeeding all of the time, so why not big each other up with a gong or two, regardless of whether it makes any sense. Why not disrespect the concept of respect? If you meet someone with a knighthood or a badge of honour, would you be pleased for them, and awed by their accomplishments, or would you simply wonder who they paid, or what they were covering up? BB then goes into the way in which all aspects of our culture have been financialised to the point where we have cheapened or destroyed all it. He then pitches himself as the lead actor in the coming biopic of Ella Fitzgerald. After all, if you don't let a white, heterosexual, English-born middle-aged man play a black American chanteuse, then I am pretty sure that that is racist, sexist, agist, and cisphobic. It's time that the Lord Protector stepped in to represent the hitherto voiceless and under-represented and stereotyped white men in films about black women singers from the middle of the 20th century. Let's have more diversity, after all, nothing matters any more.

In the podcast, BB charts the rise of the blame game over the last hundred years. The progressive ideas that fueled our societies since 1517 have given us the belief that our life must continually improve, and that the lives of our children will be better than ours, and further, that our politicians and leaders are tasked with this. What happens, then, when life starts to degrade? BB explains that our individualism means that we can not bring ourselves to take responsibility. It must be someone else who is making things bad. The more distant or abstract the 'other' blameworthy party is, the better.
