While there are still some contexts where I might use the term “Farsi” (for example to distinguish Iranian Persian, or historical Fars Province Persian, from other Persian varieties), for the language as a whole I have mostly switched to using the term “Persian” since around 2010, due to the preferences of academic readership in Iranian Studies.
