We were reading up on Finn Juhl’s famous glove cabinet displayed at the 1961 Cabinetmaker's Guild Exhibition in Copenhagen and stumbled upon an article in Arkitekten, in which Børge Mogensen and Arne Karlsen (depicted as brave knights in this collage) harshly criticize Juhl and other contributors for their use of excessive ornaments and breaking away from the teachings of Kaare Klint who postulated that “modern furniture must be designed on the basis of practical necessities”.
