А для семей побольше Мальмстен придумал диван подлиннее, состоящий из пяти компонентов.

In the early 1950s, Carl Malmsten came up with a modular sofa for small families (like the modern one in the picture shared yesterday). The sofa was made up of three separate chairs and reflected a marketing trend of the period that consisted of creating chairs for him and for her, or Mr. and Mrs. chairs.

For bigger families, Malmsten created a longer sofa made up of five separate components.
