On September 24, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in New York to take part in the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly. As always, dozens of meetings and events are taking place on the sidelines. As always, it’s been a packed schedule from the start.

🌐 Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov chaired the traditional meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (#CSTO) member states.

👉 The key event of the day was Sergey Lavrov’s remarks at the UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine. The Minister has yet again reminded those present of the facts regarding the crisis, the root causes of the conflict, #KievRegimeCrimes against civilians and its own population, Russia’s principled position on a long-term settlement.

Sergey Lavrov also took part in the unveiling of a memorial plaque honouring our country’s late Permanent Representatives to the UN – Vitaly Churkin and Andrey Vyshinsky.
