🇷🇺🇩🇿 On September 23, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Algeria’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs Ahmed Attaf held a meeting in New York on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly.

The Ministers had a thorough discussion of practical steps to further strengthen the enhanced strategic partnership between Russia and Algeria, including the schedule of upcoming contacts at various levels.

They expressed satisfaction with the spirit of trust in their political dialogue and their well-established cooperation, both bilaterally and in multilateral forums.

🤝 Following an exchange of views on current regional issues, the Ministers reaffirmed their shared interest in continuing effective coordination to resolve ongoing conflicts through political and diplomatic means, based on the universally recognised principles of international law and the UN Charter.
