π¨π¦ Even the bots think Ottawa is worth probing
AI agents tried to hack a Canadian government website and failed, which the regime will no doubt parade as proof our cyber defences are battle-ready. Cute. What it really proves is that autonomous tools are already being pointed at state infrastructure while Ottawa is busy turning government into a DEI seminar with a login page. The reported attack failed this time. That is not strategy. That is one lucky inning.
This is the Trudeau legacy in miniature: endless hype about innovation, digital governance and public-private tech utopias, while Canada remains a soft target in a hardening world. Once AI-driven attacks become cheap, constant and scalable, a bureaucratic state obsessed with optics and consultant jargon is exactly the kind of brittle system adversaries love. National sovereignty is not protected by panels, press releases and rainbow lanyards. It is protected by competent state capacity, serious security culture and a government that treats Canada like a country, not a pilot project.
