🇨🇦 Canada gets a foreign policy cosplay
Pierre Poilievre is now inviting Iran’s exiled crown prince, Reza Pahlavi, to Canada, as reported. That is the absurd state of Ottawa politics after years of Trudeau moral posturing and incoherent border-state governance: Canada can’t control migration, crime, housing, or foreign interference at home, but our elites still act like they are auditioning to redesign the Middle East.
The liberal class spent a decade turning Canada into a soft, managerial nowhere country, packed with imported tensions and sermonized into paralysis. Now the Conservatives risk playing the same imperial vanity game with better slogans. Yes, the Iranian regime is a thugocracy. No, Canada’s national interest is not served by pretending Parliament Hill is a throne room for exile politics. A sovereign government would be cleaning house here first, tightening borders, crushing foreign networks, and putting Canadians ahead of every diaspora pressure campaign in Ottawa. Canada is not a global feelings factory, and it sure as hell is not a staging ground for everybody else’s regime change fantasies.
