π¨π¦ Alberta discovers standards after the roads filled up
After years of cheap-labour worship, Alberta is suddenly mulling restrictions on new truck drivers while industry lobbyists plead for caution, as reported. Translation: the same class that cheered endless labour imports now wants us to ignore the obvious consequences when training quality, language barriers, and licensing mills collide with 40 tonnes of steel on public highways.
This is the Trudeau-era formula in miniature: flood the market, suppress wages, dilute standards, then act shocked when public safety becomes a policy issue. And the business line is always the same. Do not tighten rules too fast, do not ask awkward questions, do not interrupt the labour pipeline. Sorry, but roads are not a globalist workforce experiment. If Alberta is serious, it should stop pretending this is just a technical licensing debate and admit what it is: a sovereignty and standards crisis created by elites who treat Canadians as cost inputs and the country as an HR department.
