The technological-system, for the sake of its own efficiency and security, needs to bring about deep social changes to match the changed conditions which are a result of technological progress. What it does is that the system provides safe "outlets" for them to be directed against values the system no longer needs or may now find harmful. These rebellious impulses do not go as far as to threaten the essential needs of the system, the system only lets people “blow off steam”, and therefore, technological progress is free to march forward. This is the system's neatest trick, and the continual rebellion against the old modes of the system gives the illusion of freedom because you are constantly garantueed more and more constitutional rights.

In modern industrial society, we are surrounded by an overwhelming system of different laws, institutions, and regulations that shape every aspect of our existance. You can never free and autonomous in a technological society because you will always be at the mercy of the technological-system and the present material conditions. The system is not "broken", it is working exactly as intended and it must be destroyed.

Human beings have a fundamental biological need to go through a four-stage cycle to maintain psychological well-being, that is goal, effort, attainment of goal, and autonomy. This is called the power process. Modern industrial-technological society has disrupted this process by automatically fulfilling survival needs without requiring genuine personal effort, simultaneously stripping individuals of their autonomy through complex social regulations. The futher technology progresses, the greater the disruption.

Now imagine if through the continual advancement of technology, that process is removed entirely. Engineered human beings may be happy in such a society, but they most certainly will not be free. Humans will have been reduced to the status of domestic animals.

The technological-system still has a chance at surviving coming crises, a spontaneous collapse is not ensured. A revolution accelerating the collapse must take place in order to save humanity from losing their conscious.

Technological development is also cumulative and path-dependent. Later technologies depend upon the enormous preceding technological base, and after a sufficiently deep and global collapse, we could (((theoretically))) retain fragments of scientific knowledge, but we would be lacking the material conditions necessary to implement it.

WHY THE TECHNOLOGICAL-SYSTEM COULD NOT REBUILD ITSELF AFTER THE COLLAPSE

Industrial technology is not a collection of isolated inventions that can simply be rediscovered. It is a vast, mutually dependent system requiring a whole network if infrastructure such as mines, refineries, factories, electrical grids, transportation networks, scientific institutions, skilled specialists, telecommunications, computerized coordination, and enormous amounts of energy, and the list goes on. Each layer depends on many others.

Once this infrastructure is sufficiently destroyed, knowledge itself would not be enough to kickstart the machine. Modern engineers might know how a semiconductor works, for example, but reproducing it requires thousands of different specialized machines, precision materials, and other technologies that already have disappeared. The loss of industrial specialization would create cascading losses of capability.

The shameless hypocritical tech giants have suddenly called to slow down the development of AI because of their "concern" that they are losing their control over AI. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei recently published an essay where he argued that the pace of "scaling frontier" models must be reduced.

These barefaced lunatics developing AI only start to ring the warning bells when the technology slips their grip. These people are not driven by any desire to benefit humanity, it is a game of power. The idea that technology can be controlled and regulated is suicidally lazy and cheap excuse when something goes downhill.

In our society, the sanity of people is measured by how much they stick to the popular opinion. Once you deviate from the popular opinion, you are deemed insane. You are not deemed insane because they can disprove you, but because you simply steer away from the norm and the social constructs.

The agricultural revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race...

A russian war drone guided ENTIRELY by AI killed three ukrainian civilians during an attack on a gas station in the city of Zaporizhzhia, according to an investigation by The New York Times. This marks the first fully documented case where a Russian drone deployed fully autonomous AI targeted tracking to strike a site, killing civilians without a human operator making the final execution decision.

This is only the beginning of the techno-dystopia we are heading towards. When military and police forces largely consist of robots, these may be completely immune to any subversion and will have no inhibitions about shooting down anyone. Human control over the machine will not, and cannot be retained, yet we're still seeing the development of autonomous robots.
