Physical Bitcoin: Collectible, Cold Wallet — or Just a Gimmick?

You’ve probably seen photos of shiny metal Bitcoins — but did you know some of them actually hold real BTC inside?

Let’s break it down:

What Is a Physical Bitcoin? It’s a real, tangible coin — usually made of brass, silver, or even gold — that contains a private key hidden behind a tamper-proof seal. That key gives access to actual Bitcoin stored on the blockchain.

How Does It Work?
1️⃣ Design: Most coins feature the Bitcoin logo, a QR code, and a holographic sticker covering the private key.
2️⃣ Storage: BTC is preloaded to a blockchain address linked to the coin. As long as the seal remains intact, the funds stay untouched.
3️⃣ Redemption: To access the BTC, you peel off the seal and import the private key into a crypto wallet. But once opened, the coin loses its security — and often its collectible value.

✅ Who Uses Them?
Collectors: Rare physical Bitcoins like Casascius coins are now worth far more than their BTC value due to scarcity and historical significance.
Gifts & Memorabilia: They’re popular for introducing newcomers to crypto or celebrating milestones.
Cold Storage (rarely): Some use them to store BTC offline — though this method comes with real risks.

❓ Why Should You Care (and Be Cautious)?
Security: If someone accesses or copies the private key, your BTC is gone.
Legitimacy: Some coins are just novelties — no BTC inside at all.
Legal Issues: The U.S. shut down Casascius production for operating as an unlicensed money transmitter.

Physical Bitcoins are a fascinating blend of crypto and the real world — but they’re not practical for everyday use. If you’re buying one, know exactly what you’re getting.

Would you trust your BTC to a coin sitting on your shelf?

Want the full story? Read it ➡️ here.

Feeling overwhelmed by all those Web3 job listings?

Before you start tweaking your resume a million times or blindly applying everywhere, Ana Berlina, Talent Acquisition Specialist, shares a smarter way to use AI as your secret weapon 🚀

Whether you’re new to Web3 or switching careers, these AI-powered tips will help you focus on the right roles and stand out without burning out.

Before you apply to Web3 jobs — ask AI first. You don’t need to rewrite your resume for every job. Use AI to figure out which roles actually fit you and skip the ones that don’t.

Here’s how:

1️⃣ Find roles that match
Try asking:
- “Which Web3 roles fit my current skill set?”
- “Should I apply if I meet 4 out of 5 requirements?”
- “What % chance do I have of being shortlisted and why?”

2️⃣ Tweak your CV (don’t rewrite it)
Once you know which roles fit you, AI can help make your resume more visible without rewriting it from scratch.

Ask AI:
- “Which keywords are missing in my resume for this specific role?”
- “Rewrite this bullet to sound more results-driven (but still real).”
- “How does my resume compare to the job description?”

3️⃣ Use tools like:
- Jobscan.co – compares your CV to the job post and shows what to fix
- Resumeworded.com – gives feedback on keywords, structure, and impact
- Teal HQ – helps organize and optimize resumes and applications in one place
- Or simply paste your resume + job description into ChatGPT and ask for a keyword match score

📎 Bonus trick:
Let AI help you bucket companies into:
- 1st Circle – perfect match, clear alignment
- 2nd Circle – roles where your skills might transfer with a little framing

4️⃣ Ditch mass applying — go personal
Let AI help you:
- Find HR/hiring managers
- Draft short, human outreach messages

📎 Bonus: “Help me build a Notion tracker with columns for status, deadlines, and notes.”

And don’t miss Raquel’s post on how to nail the application, coming June 24!
Now it’s your turn: What AI tools or tricks do you use to make job hunting easier and smarter?

Funny, but true. What’s the real point?

Passion > everything else.
- A tech-savvy person with IQ 95 won’t be happy delivering pizzas.
- Someone obsessed with rocks? They might become a great geologist in a few years.

Our theory:
- Introverts burn out in loud, people-heavy jobs.
- Extroverts rot in silent, solo tasks.

Motivation isn’t magic—it’s fit.
Employers don’t need "top talent." They need people who’d actually enjoy the work.
Happy = productive. It’s that simple.

Have a great weekend and be happy! 🚀

Bridging Time Zones: How AI Can Help Me Lead Async Teams

Ever feel like your calendar is working against you?
We were in the same boat until Belinda Prins from BeInCrypto shared how she uses just a few simple AI tools to bring order to the chaos of managing teams across time zones.

Whether you're juggling a remote team, planning an international event, or just trying to survive the madness of overlapping schedules—these tips might just save your sanity.

So, here's the secret sauce in my remote toolkit:

1️⃣ ChatGPT for Time Zone Sanity:
You know what’s worse than a 7 AM meeting? Realizing it’s 7 AM for you, but 2 AM for Berlin.
Instead of doing mental gymnastics with time converters and guessing who’s getting up at the crack of doom, I just ask ChatGPT: “Hey, give me overlapping work hours for Bali, Berlin, and San Francisco.”

Boom—problem solved. It’s like having a personal timezone concierge. No spreadsheets, no brain strain, just perfect scheduling harmony.

2️⃣ Slack Bots for Localized Reminders:
Now this is the real MVP. We've got a custom Slack bot that translates a single reminder into local times for everyone.

I type: /remind #local-team-leaders "Update the project status today" every Monday at 9am

And voilà!
London gets it in GMT, New York gets it in EST, and I stay stress-free in WITA. It's like your reminder has a passport and a global clock built in.

✅ My Global Work Life:
Living in Indonesia and working with people across Europe, the US, and wherever else life takes them, I used to spend more time decoding time zones than actually doing work.
It was chaos. I’d say "Tuesday 9 AM" and half the people showed up Wednesday.
Now? These tools handle the mess while I get things done. They turned my day from “constant confusion” to “calm coordination.”

Efficient, smooth, and about 73% less stressful.

✅ Best Practices:
- Always anchor time in local terms, not UTC.
- Use bots and AI to handle the boring stuff—calculations, reminders, nudges.
- Never trust “tomorrow” without a timezone.
- Test your tools—don’t wake someone up by accident.
- Let people work async—respect their time zone, not just yours.

🔔 Quick reminder: No tool can solve everything (still waiting for that "read my mind" plugin). But if juggling time zones, reminders, and chaos drains your energy—these little tech helpers are total game changers.

❓ What digital tools do you swear by to keep your workflow on track - especially when time zones are in the mix?

❌ If you’re not using AI, you might already be falling behind...

But if your CV sounds like it was written by a robot, that’s not great either. So, what’s the right balance?

Let’s explore the philosophy behind this balance 🔑

In 5 questions, Arina Drobysheva, HR Director of BeInCrypto, shares her insights on AI: Where to START and When to STOP.

Will Arina’s questions change your attitude towards AI? Let’s find out:

1️⃣ Is the ‘AI ERA’ already at its peak, or just getting started?

Just getting started. Most people are still figuring out how to use it. I recently did research on what a sales process could look like without a human sales rep. A year ago, that sounded impossible—now it’s complicated, but doable thanks to new automation tools. So I’d say we’re still in the exploration phase. The real “peak” will come when companies fully implement it. Roles will shift—everyone will need to become either decision-makers, people partners, or AI operators.

2️⃣ Would you reject someone who never uses AI? (START HERE)

Most probably, yes. And not just for AI—some companies are already rejecting candidates who lack automation skills in general. Of course, there are still traditional companies that avoid it for security or compliance reasons. But for us, not using AI is like not knowing how to type fast. You need to do it. Otherwise, you’re stuck in the past. And our space is too fast-paced. Such candidate will not be comfortable.

3️⃣ What’s ‘too much’ AI in a job application? (STOP NOW)

When it’s full of generic words no one actually uses. Using AI isn’t the problem—it should enhance your tone, not replace it. But sometimes it’s obvious the person just clicked “generate”. It can be felt like you didn’t put to much efforts or you are a scammer sending thousands generated CVs.

4️⃣ How do you spot AI-generated resumes?

Same thing—too many buzzwords, too little personality, too polished. Some HR tools can now auto-check your CV for AI usage. And honestly, we all know what ChatGPT does when you ask it to make a list: bold topic, short paragraph, repeat. Same phrases over and over—“passionate team player with proven track record.”

5️⃣ Is Web3 more AI-friendly than traditional industries?

Depends on the industry. Developers and product teams might use AI the same across Web2 and Web3. But areas like production or mining—less so. Also, smaller teams usually adapt faster. In crypto, some teams are huge and start to look like traditional companies. But in smaller setups, anything can happen—they’re much more flexible.

Conclusion: We need to remember that AI isn’t optional anymore. But it’s also not a magic fix. Use it to enhance your skills, not to mask them.

Where do you draw the line between AI being a helpful tool and it being overused?
Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments!

What If You Could Interview the Creator of Skynet? 🎬

You’ve seen The Terminator, right? A genius at Cyberdyne Systems builds an AI so smart it nearly wipes out humanity.
Well, we just interviewed the Web3 version of that genius (minus the apocalypse).

In our latest "5 Questions with a Guest", we sat down with Callum Crombie, co-founder of Calyptus - the AI-powered hiring platform that’s redefining how people get jobs in Web3.

Callum is basically building Skynet, but for Recruiting. And good news: this one is on your side.

🎙Here's what we asked him:

✅ Why your CV gets rejected by AI faster than you can say “solidity dev”
✅ The 3 soft skills hiring managers secretly care about
✅ How to actually use online communities to get hired (hint: it’s not by spamming “GM frens”)
✅ How Calyptus uses AI to match talent—and what that means for YOUR profile
✅ Why trying to be “everything at once” is ruining your job hunt (clarity > chaos)

🚀 If you’re job-hunting in Web3 in 2025, this is your John Connor moment. Save the humans. Nail the interview. Land your dream role.

➡️ WATCH THE FULL EPISODE ON YOUTUBE ⬅️

Pro tip from the future: Only 5% of candidates follow up after an interview. Be one of them!

PS: Callum already dropped gems in our May post—but this time, it’s a full collab.

So in the words of a certain T-800...

“I’ll be back.”

Internet Capital Markets vs TradFi: Revolution or Just Crypto Hype?
If you’re aiming to work in Web3 — not just invest in it — understanding how Internet Capital Markets (ICMs) compare to TradFi isn’t optional. It’s essential.

Whether you’re eyeing a role in DeFi, tokenomics, community growth, or product — you’ll need to know how capital moves in Web3. That means learning how ICMs are flipping finance on its head.

Let’s break it down:

❓Key Differences:
➡️Access: ICMs need only a wallet. TradFi? ID, credit score, gatekeepers.
➡️Speed: ICMs = launch in minutes. TradFi = months of approvals.
➡️Assets: ICMs = tokens with vibes, utility, or memes. TradFi = stocks, bonds, ETFs.
➡️Regulation: ICMs are still mostly unregulated. TradFi is heavily overseen.
➡️Risk: ICMs = high-risk, high-reward. TradFi = safer but slower growth.
➡️Raising Capital: ICMs let anyone raise funds online. TradFi needs bankers and lawyers.
➡️Responsibility: ICM users manage everything themselves. TradFi handles custody and safety.
➡️Transparency: ICMs = on-chain and open. TradFi = closed systems.

❗️Similarities:
➡️Same core function: Allocating capital from investors to builders.
➡️Speculation exists in both: Meme coins or meme stocks — hype drives attention.
➡️Community power: Narratives and loyal holders drive value.
➡️Cycles of trust and bubbles: Whether it’s a 2008 crash or 2022 rug pulls — both systems have risks.

✅ Why This Matters for Your Web3 Career
Working in Web3 means speaking the language of both finance and crypto culture. You’ll likely:
➡️Work on or around token launches
➡️Help manage communities built on financial incentives
➡️Build products that rely on ICM dynamics
➡️Communicate to users the risks and benefits of decentralization

Knowing how ICMs challenge TradFi helps you build smarter, market better, and avoid rookie mistakes. Want a job in Web3? Then know how Web3 raises and allocates money.
