❌ If you’re not using AI, you might already be falling behind...

But if your CV sounds like it was written by a robot, that’s not great either. So, what’s the right balance?

Let’s explore the philosophy behind this balance 🔑

In 5 questions, Arina Drobysheva, HR Director of BeInCrypto, shares her insights on AI: Where to START and When to STOP.

Will Arina’s questions change your attitude towards AI? Let’s find out:

1️⃣ Is the ‘AI ERA’ already at its peak, or just getting started?

Just getting started. Most people are still figuring out how to use it. I recently did research on what a sales process could look like without a human sales rep. A year ago, that sounded impossible—now it’s complicated, but doable thanks to new automation tools. So I’d say we’re still in the exploration phase. The real “peak” will come when companies fully implement it. Roles will shift—everyone will need to become either decision-makers, people partners, or AI operators.

2️⃣ Would you reject someone who never uses AI? (START HERE)

Most probably, yes. And not just for AI—some companies are already rejecting candidates who lack automation skills in general. Of course, there are still traditional companies that avoid it for security or compliance reasons. But for us, not using AI is like not knowing how to type fast. You need to do it. Otherwise, you’re stuck in the past. And our space is too fast-paced. Such candidate will not be comfortable.

3️⃣ What’s ‘too much’ AI in a job application? (STOP NOW)

When it’s full of generic words no one actually uses. Using AI isn’t the problem—it should enhance your tone, not replace it. But sometimes it’s obvious the person just clicked “generate”. It can be felt like you didn’t put to much efforts or you are a scammer sending thousands generated CVs.

4️⃣ How do you spot AI-generated resumes?

Same thing—too many buzzwords, too little personality, too polished. Some HR tools can now auto-check your CV for AI usage. And honestly, we all know what ChatGPT does when you ask it to make a list: bold topic, short paragraph, repeat. Same phrases over and over—“passionate team player with proven track record.”

5️⃣ Is Web3 more AI-friendly than traditional industries?

Depends on the industry. Developers and product teams might use AI the same across Web2 and Web3. But areas like production or mining—less so. Also, smaller teams usually adapt faster. In crypto, some teams are huge and start to look like traditional companies. But in smaller setups, anything can happen—they’re much more flexible.

Conclusion: We need to remember that AI isn’t optional anymore. But it’s also not a magic fix. Use it to enhance your skills, not to mask them.

Where do you draw the line between AI being a helpful tool and it being overused?
Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments!
