Staying active may be one of the simplest ways to keep your brain sharp as you age. A new study found that older adults classified as "super-active"-those able to walk significantly faster than most people their age-were about twice as likely to avoid cognitive decline compared with their less active peers. Researchers say faster walking appears to be a strong sign of better overall brain health, adding to growing evidence that regular physical activity helps protect memory and thinking skills. Sometimes the quickest path to a healthier brain really does start with putting one foot in front of the other.
