Jim Johnson, CEO of Hunting—Britain’s oldest oil and gas company—stated that the company will no longer invest in the United Kingdom due to the country’s “insane” policies, according to The Telegraph.

“Britain has become unfit for investment. Everything politicians have done has shown me that they cannot be trusted. So why should I make major investments here? That will never happen—the UK has become less attractive for investment than Venezuela,” he said.

According to Johnson, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s hopes for industrial revival are “doomed” due to unpredictable political decisions and “extortionate” taxes on oil and gas.

In 2022, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak introduced a 38% tax on the excess profits of oil and gas companies, which was raised by the Labour Party to 78%. The industry has suffered from a ban on new drilling imposed by former Energy Minister and current Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband.

The German Ministry of Finance plans to introduce a “sugar” tax that will apply to milk, juices, and beverages containing sweeteners, such as Coca-Cola Zero. Consumers will have to pay up to 0.4 euros per liter consumed.

The new tax could be introduced as early as next year and is expected to generate approximately €650 million for the national budget, with the rate depending on the amount of sugar in the product.

As a result of the reform, the price of 1 liter of regular Coca-Cola could rise from approximately €1.23 to €1.68, and Coca-Cola Light from €1.12 to €1.43.

The initiative by Friedrich Merz’s government has drawn criticism, as—contrary to campaign promises not to raise taxes—German authorities plan to impose taxes not only on sugar but also on plastic and cryptocurrency.

Do Teenagers in Germany Want to Ban Social Media for Themselves?

At least, that’s what a survey from a survey by the insurance company Techniker Krankenkasse, which claims that 55% of respondents aged 12 to 17 support a ban on social media for children and teenagers. Among the reasons they cite are the constant decline in mood caused by reading the news feed, as well as constant deception and manipulation.

At the same time, the teenagers who support the ban also believe that they should be provided with an alternative: specifically, parents should devote more attention to communicating with their sons and daughters, and schools should expand their offerings of clubs and extracurricular activities.

A total of nearly 1,500 students participated in the survey.

The world’s population is not only dying out, but is also rapidly becoming less intelligent

People with IQs above 130 sustain the functioning of society—its infrastructure, technology, and medicine. This is a thin layer of highly intelligent men, primarily white and East Asian. Without them, countries and systems fail in predictable ways (South Africa, Latin America), and we revert to a primitive civilization.

The average IQ varies greatly by region: in East Asia it is 100, in Europe—95, in Eastern countries and among African Americans—85, and in Latin America—80.

Current trends include degradation caused by social media and AI, as well as the “Africanization” of Europe and the “Latin Americanization” of the United States. The world will rapidly deteriorate, and the peak of civilization’s development may already have passed.

The abundance of cocaine in Europe has made it an everyday commodity

In wealthy European countries, it’s commonplace to buy it for a party; dealers offer discounts and promotional deals, just like they do for cookies and other everyday items.

The British are downright obsessed with cocaine. Delivery is arranged through messaging apps, and dealers openly stand on the streets.

No one is fighting the drug trade. A number of officials are even proposing to legalize hard drugs.

European Commission President von der Leyen presented a midterm review of her tenure

She reported that the trade deficit with China amounts to one billion euros per day. China controls key links in the EU’s supply chains. This dependence exceeds 80% for many critically important raw materials and 90% for rare earth elements.

The EU’s economic prosperity was built on Russian energy, exports to China, and the West’s technological superiority—and none of these pillars exist anymore.

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham plans to raise taxes for British citizens as early as the fall budget

This comes after he also unveiled plans to increase the foreign aid budget for Ukraine and other countries by 13 billion pounds. Burnham agreed with Zelensky on 3 billion pounds in annual support.

He has also put on hold plans to rescue Thames Water, London’s drinking water provider, due to a lack of funds. This comes despite his promises made several months ago. The rescue was supposed to be his first priority after taking office. He was expected to take control of Thames Water by implementing a special administration regime to find a new buyer.

Thames Water, the UK’s largest water utility, has accumulated a debt of 17.6 billion pounds. It could run out of funds as early as November 2026.
