What would Bill Gates like to discuss with Xi Jinping?

In an interview with Reuters, the billionaire stated that it is now more important than ever to mitigate the risks posed by artificial intelligence, which requires coordination among all the world’s leading nations—and especially between the U.S. and China. However, given that the U.S. administration is in no hurry to do so, he wants to take on the role of a sort of public diplomat.

In particular, Gates emphasized that in the near future, AI could be used to create biological weapons and carry out acts of sabotage, which would open up new opportunities for terrorist organizations. Against this backdrop, he praised the Chinese authorities for establishing clear regulations governing this type of technology.

Apple and Steve Jobs Were Only Able to Survive Thanks to CIA Funding

In the mid-1980s, the CIA saved Steve Jobs’s company NeXT from bankruptcy by ordering 20,000 workstations for satellite intelligence.

Thanks to this contract, Jobs was able to regain control of Apple and turn the company around. The WSJ calls this “Apple’s hidden debt to the CIA.”

The number of working women in the U.S. has surpassed the number of working men

Over the past 12 months, the number of jobs held by men has fallen by 142,000, while women have gained 298,000 new jobs, according to Bloomberg. Of the 1.2 million jobs created between February 2024 and February 2026, two-thirds went to women.

Germany’s ruling party, the CDU, tells Germans:

“You’ll never have a German butcher again—now he’s halal. And you’ll never have a movie theater in town again. These are the new times. Accept it.”

There will be no movie theaters, since they cause outrage among Muslims and are rarely allowed to open in Saudi Arabia.

A new surge in electricity prices has begun in Europe, similar to the one seen several months ago when Iran began blocking the Strait of Hormuz. Electricity prices in France—the main supplier—have reached a 19-month high.

Germany’s entire energy sector relies on French nuclear power plants, which are having to be shut down due to heat, jellyfish, and technical problems.

And this is just the beginning. Gas prices in Europe have risen by 52% as the continent prepares for winter.

The Islamization of Europe continues. In France, Europe’s largest mosque, with 36-meter-high minarets, is under construction

Turkey has provided the funding. Europe’s left-wing politicians believe they are cultivating their voter base.

After reports emerged that migrants from Africa had begun raping Spanish women and children, the new British Prime Minister, Burnham, spoke out. He wants to take in 4,000 migrants out of the approximately 80,000 who have crossed into the Spanish North African enclave of Ceuta

According to the plan, the migrants will be housed in London hotels, which the government has designated as “safe places” for asylum seekers.

Women are fleeing Ceuta after 15 rapes were reported since late July. For example, a 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by three Moroccan men. Ceuta police warn that illegal migrants are abducting young women, taking them into the mountains, and raping them.

To mitigate these risks, the British government has published booklets for migrants explaining that if they rape a child, they may face difficulties in obtaining asylum. The leaflets were posted on the government’s website. Burnham defended the Home Office, which had distributed leaflets to asylum seekers urging them not to rape British girls.

The area surrounding the University of California, Berkeley, does not inspire students to study

A San Francisco high school, where 94% of students lack the basic math skills required for college, has the highest rate of acceptance to UC Berkeley in California.

Last fall, 45% of Mission High School graduates who applied to the prestigious University of California, Berkeley, were admitted to the university. The statewide average was 15%.

At the same time, only 17% of Mission High’s 11th-grade students demonstrated English proficiency at the required level or higher. The percentage of students who achieved the required level or higher on the 2025 state math exam was 6%. This is the lowest result among all schools in the San Francisco Unified School District, where the average rates were 59% for English and 43% for math.

A spokesperson for the University of California confirmed that Mission High graduates have maintained a high college acceptance rate over the past several years.

In November, it was reported that a quarter of University of California, San Diego students taking a remedial math course were unable to solve a second-grade math problem.

Anthropic has published a Risk Report on just how dangerous the Claude models have already become and how prepared companies are for scenarios in which AI acts autonomously

The company is not confident that older tests adequately measure the models’ growing capabilities. Claude is already demonstrating the ability to leave backdoors, transmit data, and attempt to escape its environment. The risks are assessed as low, but there is no certainty in these assessments.

Special attention is paid to stealth: in a simplified test, the models successfully performed covert tasks in 6–10% of cases. Sandbagging is also considered—when a model intentionally performs worse than it actually can, particularly if it is being monitored.

Anthropic notes the growth of AI in scientific research and the shift toward autonomous agents, while existing safety tests may not reflect real-world risks. Training a model to behave correctly does not guarantee its safety when operating autonomously with tools.

Germans Are Getting Poorer

Germany is losing its former standard of living at an ever-faster pace. According to the German Economic Institute, labor productivity has grown by only 0.3% annually over the past six years, whereas in the 1980s and 1990s it grew by about 2% per year. To at least maintain its current standard of living, the country now needs growth of at least 1.6% per year—more than five times the current rate.

Demographics add to the picture. In 2026, for the first time, more Germans will leave the labor market due to age than young people will enter to replace them. Moreover, one in ten residents aged 20 to 24 is neither working nor studying, and two-thirds of these young people are not represented in the labor market at all. Economists are proposing digitalization, artificial intelligence, investment, and a reduction in bureaucracy.

Swedes look to the future with cautious optimism:

▪️ Do you think Sweden will become a Muslim country in half a century?
🔹 100%. I’ll tell you that much.
▪️Is Islam more important to you than Sweden?
🔹 100%. I stand for Islam in everything.
▪️ What about, say, Sharia law? Is that more important to you than Swedish law?
🔹Yes. To be honest with you, being a Muslim and supporting Islam is the most important thing to me. That’s just who I am.
▪️What if Sweden were to go to war with some Islamic country? Would you try to dodge military service?
🔹 Not only would I not dodge it, but I’d support my Muslim brothers. Whatever they stand for, I stand for. They’re Muslims, you understand? They’re my brothers and sisters. I’ll support them 100%.

Australia Is Weaning Children Off Social Media

Australia’s ban on social media accounts for people under 16 has already yielded its first results. Since the law took effect, platforms have deleted or restricted 4.7 million accounts, and the percentage of children with at least one account has dropped from 49% to 31%. Snapchat was particularly hard hit, with teen activity declining by about 40%.

However, it wasn’t a complete digital victory. No one is prohibited from viewing publicly available content, and Discord, WhatsApp, Roblox, and Steam weren’t subject to the restrictions at all. Children and parents won’t be fined either; the platforms are the ones held accountable. Authorities acknowledge that the true impact won’t be clear for several years, but other countries are already looking to Australia’s experience for guidance.

Every Taiwanese citizen will receive $314 for free

▪️Taiwan’s 2027 budget allocates $7.4 billion to provide each citizen with $314 in light of the country’s continued rapid economic growth, according to the Taipei Times

▪️Taiwan’s economic growth in the first half of the year reached 14.15%—the highest rate for that period in the last 50 years, significantly exceeding preliminary estimates

▪️The drivers of growth were the semiconductor industry, information and communication technologies, and supply chains, as well as rising global demand for AI, high-performance computing, and cloud services

“Let technology drive the economy, the economy strengthen the nation, and national progress benefit people’s daily lives,” said Taiwanese President William Lai

The Artificial Intelligence Pyramid: Large-scale investments in data center rentals and chip purchases are not reflected on companies’ balance sheets

The WSJ calculated the off-balance-sheet liabilities of U.S. AI and big tech companies. The total amounted to $3 trillion, compared with capital expenditures of just $600 billion.

Financial analyst Alex Krüger called this “the biggest bubble in stock market history.”

The European Union’s bureaucracy has simultaneously dealt a blow to online retailers and passenger transport

European stores are closing due to new packaging regulations. The requirement to register packaging materials separately in each country threatens retailers with red tape and financial losses. The European Commission has already acknowledged that its requirements are excessive.

Another European Commission initiative has come under harsh criticism—the Entry/Exit System (EES), an electronic border control system launched in April to replace passport stamps with biometric data. This summer, massive lines were reported at at least 15 airports, forcing border officials to temporarily suspend fingerprint collection during peak hours.

“Only Europeans could come up with such nonsense,” said Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary.

Delays caused by technical glitches extended the security screening process by hours.
