U.S. military personnel have begun being offered the chance to play GTA VI in exchange for extending their contracts with the Pentagon

The 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Georgia, has offered a four-day leave following the game’s release in November to those who extend their contracts for at least two years through November 14, 2026.

According to the division’s press secretary, Lt. Col. Angel Tomko, 20 of the 130 service members in the 9th Engineer Battalion have already renewed their contracts—in part to take advantage of the opportunity to play GTA VI.
