TECH NEWS | NASA SWITCHES ON A 300-MEGAPIXEL EYE IN SPACE
NASA has activated the Roman Space Telescope’s giant infrared camera. It will scan vast regions of space to discover distant planets and investigate dark energy.
A second instrument will block starlight to reveal planets normally hidden in the glare.
Testing is underway. The first science images are expected by early 2027.
