TECH NEWS | THE U.S. ARMY IS TESTING AUTONOMOUS DRONE HUNTERS

The U.S. Army has tested radars, interceptor drones and autonomous gun systems designed to detect, track and destroy small aircraft. The technology was demonstrated during the Falcon Peak exercise in Arizona.

The military says 378 drone incursions were detected near the U.S.–Mexico border within 30 days. These trials could accelerate the development of defenses against cheap drones and coordinated swarms.
