PART 1
💊 Bears love Goodies or how to build an empire? 💊
🧢 We have a really special guest today we've been preparing for a really long time. Meet him - Teddie, Goodies Intern a.k.a Teddie Nakamoto. A man that's behind the large sticker community. Talked about Goodies, brands & more. Let's get started. 🧢
🪽 #tonvoice: Right now, you are practically the only sticker store that is active and runs its channel, but where did it all start, and how did you come up with the idea to create Goodies?
🪽 #teddie: It started when Telegram put a blockchain inside a messaging app, a candy portal opened beneath the groupchat and I fell through it. The Sticker Store / Open Builders were the first to attempt tokenized stickers, and respect to them. In my opinion they have consistently been the best builders in the space, ahead of the crowd. Goodies was inspired by the crossover of social messaging, stickers and blockchain. We wanted to bring vibrant visuals, build the IP roster, introduce mascots, storytelling, collecting and develop into live experiences. That’s why I’m here, Teddie Nakamoto. To live with you in the TG trenches, talk direct to the community and build alongside you. Demonstrate how a brand can use a mascot, stickers,
emojis and storytelling to build community. (and create a devilishly handsome pink teddy bear with the biggest pink fluffy
🪽 #tonvoice: How collections are actually selected for release and by what criteria?
🪽 #teddie: These days, it’s really about the pitch. Of course demand matters. If a brand has a strong community that already wants to collect its stickers, that helps. Or if there is a specific utility angle. But any brand (or person..) that has a great idea for using stickers to engage an audience, tell a story, provide a utility or create a fun experience, we’re open to it.
🪽 #tonvoice: Many brands have been listed on Goodies, including Pudgy Penguins, Doodles, and others, but recently less well-known brands have been featured. Can we expect any other major and hyped-up collections in the near future?
🪽 #teddie: Absolutely. It’s always about timing. There are still plenty of major collections and conversations on the table. Plus, there might be another reason for why brands want to launch stickers on the horizon. The Goodies roster is already ridiculous when you zoom out. Now we can encourage those brands to make more moves in the Telegram eco.
