On June 8, 2022, the executive committee of the city council of the city of Ivano-Frankivsk (western Ukraine) decided to ban any "Russian-language product" on the streets of the city.
This was stated by the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, a representative of the far-right Svoboda party, Ruslan Martsinkiv:

The local authorities of Ivano-Frankivsk took an example from the neighboring city of Ternopil, where the city authorities banned musicians from performing Russian-language songs.
But the mayor's office of Ivano-Frankivsk went even further and banned any "Russian-language product".
That is, in the city it is forbidden to read Russian poetry, Russian books, speak Russian?
