On June 7, 2022, information appeared on social networks that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) had searched the home of a Verkhovna Rada deputy from the ruling party, head of the parliamentary committee on social policy, Galina Tretyakova.
The SBU conducted a search because an analysis of the Internet traffic of Tretyakova's phone showed her constant contacts with subscribers from the Russian Federation.
The head of the parliamentary faction of the ruling Servant of the People party, David Arakhamia, essentially confirmed that there had been a search.
Arakhamia said that Tretyakov's husband sent mass photos of "murders and atrocities" committed by Russian soldiers to the phones of Russian subscribers.
Having found out this, the SBU left Tretyakova's house.
Galina Tretyakova is known for her legislative initiatives that destroy the social and labor rights of Ukrainians, and for her "market reforms" in Ukraine.
But what is important in this information is not a strange explanation of the contacts of a well-known deputy and her husband with subscribers in Russia.
It is important that the SBU monitors the contacts of Ukrainians with Russians via the Internet and telephone.
And, obviously, such surveillance is massive.
Many Ukrainians have relatives and friends in Russia.
We already wrote that personal contacts via the Internet with relatives in Russia became the subject of criminal prosecution of a nanny from a kindergarten in the city of Vinnitsa:
