Researchers developed a multiregional scaffold that mimics the natural tendon–cartilage–bone interface, providing tissue-specific mechanical and biochemical cues to guide regeneration. In cell and animal studies, the scaffold promoted more organized tendon, cartilage, and bone formation and integrated with existing surgical suture anchors, offering a promising strategy to improve the durability of rotator cuff repairs, particularly for large or degenerative injuries.
