Why is it important to know how to say no? Part 1.
Saying "No" is such an indispensable skill in the allocation of one's resources that one simply can't do without it. The same nice-guy syndrome that so many people worry about greatly hinders them from reaching their potential. And all because people are afraid to say no. There's nothing wrong with rejection, though. On the contrary, it's even healthy!
▫️ By learning to say "No" you will strengthen your personal boundaries. If your personal boundaries are strong, people won't dare encroach on what is yours. The stronger your boundaries, the stronger your mentality. The stronger your mentality, the stronger your character. So if you aspire to courage, you need to build personal boundaries. Otherwise, those you would consider close to you will ride on your shoulders just fine.
▫️Stop feeling guilty about rejection, you'll boost your self-esteem. When you are a no-holds-barred person, there are many consumers around you who take advantage of that quality. Because of this, a false perception of relationships is formed. You begin to think that if you don't give of some value, you will remain unneeded by anyone. And low self-esteem becomes the reason why you start giving even more gratuitously.
With respect, Your friend. Christopher.
