Why you should never sacrifice your happiness, even for your loved ones.

You may strive to help everyone around you, sincerely believing that this makes you a good person. But the harsh truth is that your help is often meaningless, and in some cases even harmful to you.

If you too often solve the problems of those around you by wanting to make them happy, it's time for you to slow down. The habit of rushing to everyone's rescue and taking responsibility for someone else's moral state is detrimental to your own life. Especially if you don't know your limits.

▫️ You can't make a person happy.

The most basic reason why you shouldn't waste your resources on fixing someone else's life is that you won't succeed anyway. No one but the person themselves can make them happy. You can give as much advice as you want about what to do in a particular situation, help solve his problems, offer him your time, money, moral and physical support, but it will not lead to the desired result. The man himself must want to stop feeling sorry for himself and do something to make himself feel better.

You have probably already tried many times to help your loved ones. Most of the time their inaction irritates you: you don't understand why they don't change anything if they are not happy with their lives. So here's a thought for you to think about: maybe they are comfortable in the place and with the problems they have now. They keep voicing their dissatisfaction, but deep down they don't want to change things. No amount of trying to get things moving is going to succeed unless the person wants to initiate change themselves.
