⚡️▶️🇺🇸🇾🇪 — Hamas political bureau chief Khalil al-Hayya said he had met U.S. officials more than four times over the past two years and this year, presenting Palestinian demands, Hamas’s commitments and what he described as facts and figures on Israeli conduct. He said the officials showed understanding of the humanitarian and political dimensions and viewed the meetings positively, but stressed that concrete action was needed to compel Israel to fulfill its commitments.

➡️ Al-Hayya said Hamas had offered to mediate between the parties to the conflict in Yemen and was working with several countries to advance the initiative, while calling on Arab and Muslim states to overcome their disputes through dialogue, arguing that regional wars drain their resources and benefit their opponents. He described Hamas’s political relations as balanced and open to further development and expansion on the basis of non-interference in states’ internal affairs, said the movement maintained contacts across the region, and expressed hope for stability and development in Syria.

Regarding October 7, he said the attack came in response to Israeli conduct and attempts to erase the Palestinian cause, and argued that the ensuing conflict demonstrated Palestinian resilience and growing international solidarity. On Israeli elections, he said Palestinians had suffered under successive Israeli parties and rejected using Palestinian blood as fuel for electoral competition.
