🇨🇦 Ottawa broke Confederation, now Poilievre has to sell Alberta on staying

The most revealing part of Pierre Poilievre’s Edmonton speech was not what he said, but what he did not say: not one mention of Mark Carney or the Liberal machine that spent a decade turning Ottawa into a managerial empire. He told Albertans to stay in Canada because the problem is federal overreach, failed immigration, weak borders, soft-on-crime policy, military neglect, and attacks on resources and firearms, as reported. In other words, the problem is the regime currently running Canada exactly as designed.

Alberta is being asked to remain loyal to a federation that treats its energy sector like a tax farm, its voters like deplorables, and provincial jurisdiction like a polite suggestion. Poilievre is right that separation does not magically fix Ottawa’s decay, but let’s not pretend this alienation came from nowhere. It came from Trudeau-era centralization, globalist climate dogma, and a ruling class that worships DEI press releases while hollowing out sovereignty. If Canada is worth keeping, Ottawa has to be cut down to size first.
