That is DEI in Canada: immutable traits celebrated, actual dissent punished. They sell inclusion, then run ideological background checks and call it fairness.

Leslyn Lewis alleges York cultivated a toxic culture of wokeism, with a professor preparing political attacks in advance and smearing her as racist, anti-gay, anti-refugee, and anti-women. Notice the pattern. Institutions that posture as neutral academies now behave like partisan gatekeepers, where acceptable thought matters more than qualifications. This is how sovereignty erodes domestically too: not with tanks, but with bureaucratic and academic class filters that police belief, reward conformity, and blacklist anyone outside the regime consensus. If even a sitting MP gets this treatment, imagine what happens to ordinary Canadians without lawyers or a platform.
