Three men were arrested in upstate New York hauling 89 firearms into Canada—17 of them stolen. Two are Canadian citizens: Malik Bromfield and Kamal Salman, who also holds Jordanian citizenship. The third, Faizan Ali, is a Pakistani national and happens to be a fugitive wanted by Hamilton police for skipping sentencing after a fatal motorcycle crash conviction. Meanwhile, Trudeau spent years banning legal firearms from licensed Canadian owners while the border stayed wide open to actual criminals with actual guns.

The irony writes itself. Ottawa crushed law-abiding duck hunters and sport shooters with a freeze on handgun sales and confiscation plans, yet 88 percent of Toronto's crime guns in 2024 came from the U.S. The problem was never grandpa's rifle cabinet—it was always border enforcement, which this government treated as an afterthought while virtue-signaling about public safety. Now we import both the guns and the smugglers.
