🇨🇦 Ontario police warn public as repeat sex offender released again
Third straight year, same warning, same man, same ritual. The state releases a high-risk repeat sex offender, then tells the public to stay vigilant as if parents are now auxiliary parole officers. Durham police say Keith Theodore Constantin poses a serious risk, especially to children, yet he is back in the community anyway, with electronic monitoring and an offender unit tracking his movements, as reported. That is not public safety. That is bureaucratic absurdity dressed up as supervision.
This is the Trudeau-era justice ethos in one ugly package: endless second chances for predators, endless risk dumped on ordinary Canadians, endless official statements pretending the system is working. A man with convictions dating back almost 20 years, a history of breaching release conditions, and police warnings issued year after year is still being cycled back into society under layers of conditions so restrictive they amount to an admission he should not be there in the first place. If the only way this machine functions is by warning families after the fact, then the machine is broken by design.
