🇮🇷💸 Iran’s Toman Hits Another Record Low — $1 ≈ 270,000 Tomans
Iran’s currency has fallen to a new record low on the open market, with the U.S. dollar approaching 270,000 tomans — equivalent to 2.7 million rials per $1.
By midday Saturday, October 3, the dollar was trading around 267,100 tomans, according to Bonbast data cited by Shafaq News, while other market trackers put the rate closer to 265,000–270,000 tomans.
That means $1 = ~270,000 tomans, and 10 million tomans is now worth only about $37 at the open-market rate.
The collapse comes amid soaring inflation and mounting economic pressure. Recent reporting puts Iran's annual consumer-price inflation at nearly 90%.
