Kirkuk is a Kurdish city.

This is Jalal Talabani bringing with him a map of the Ottoman Empire in a meeting with the Iraqi governing council in 2004 - reading a paragraph of the League of Nations which asserted that *Iraq* goes until the Hamrin mountains and north of it is Kurdistan.

Talabani proved through documents and maps that the city of Kirkuk is a Kurdish city and is part of the Kurdistan Region
