Kurdish patriotic youths are calling on conscious Kurds to take an “honorable position” and stay away from the Diyarbakır Culture Road Festival, organized by the Turkish state.

The festival is set to take place October 10–18 at Newroz Park, with concerts scheduled throughout the event.

The youths describe such state-organized cultural events as part of Turkish assimilation policies and say that, especially during the current period of mourning, Kurds should not attend or participate.
