📌 Tehran, IRNA — Acting Defense Minister Brigadier General Majid Ibn al-Reza warns that those who deliberately promote civilizational confrontation must bear responsibility for its dangerous consequences, saying they should not assume that its repercussions will never affect them.
Ibn al-Reza made the remarks during a meeting with heads of several industrial organizations affiliated with the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics on Monday.
Referring to recent remarks by US officials about Iran and its civilization, he said that turning historical and cultural differences into grounds for political and military confrontation is a dangerous miscalculation.
The official stressed that Iran’s civilization has deep historical roots and has made significant contributions to the world’s scientific, cultural and intellectual heritage, adding that the country will rely on its scientific, industrial and defense capabilities to safeguard its heritage and its people’s right to determine their own future.
Ibn al-Reza added that Iran will not allow threats or humiliation to undermine its national identity or independence, emphasizing that the country’s response will be based on scientific and industrial progress, national confidence and comprehensive defense preparedness.
He also stressed that promoting civilizational confrontation is like playing with fire, warning that those who ignite it cannot control its spread or shield themselves from its consequences.
