📌 Tehran, IRNA – President Masoud Pezeshkian has once again denounced the continued Israeli genocide of Palestinians, underscoring that the United States remains complicit in the events unfolding in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Speaking at a ceremony marking World Post Day on Monday, Pezeshkian noted that the world remained a mute spectator to the events in Gaza, which, in reality, are genocide and are being committed with the complicity of the United States.
He criticized the global silence on the Israeli mayhem as shameful, saying even the self-proclaimed champions of human rights and humanity not only casually overlook it, but—regrettably—support the genocide by supplying weapons and resources to the aggressive regime and endorsing these crimes.
Pezeshkian also reminded the West of its double standards on human rights issues, arguing that they have remained silent on the Gaza bloodshed, but turned vocal on any issue in Iran —for whatever reason—claiming human rights had been violated there.
You place no value on any human life other than your own, your inner circle, and your own interests, the Iranian president rebuked those who proclaim to be champions of human rights but act selectively.
Referring to the ongoing killing of Palestinians and the US-Israeli expansionist agenda in the region, Pezeshkian said they kept seizing land and openly declaring their intent to take control of the region's oil and appropriate its resources amid international silence.
They have created tools to subjugate, plunder, and loot the resources and assets of nations across the globe, he noted, adding that they hide behind a polished facade, speaking of democracy and human rights- disgusting slogans to hear from them.
The President raised questions about the actions and deeds of the aggressors and their backers with reference to the crimes being committed in Gaza and elsewhere in the region. Are these the very people who commit such atrocities? Are these the ones who manufacture weapons to ruthlessly slaughter human beings—turning an entire area into a bloodbath without a second thought, even though the objective is merely to assassinate a single individual?
Paying tribute to all the martyrs and offering condolences to their families who lost their loved ones in the US-Israeli war, Pezeshkian noted that aggressors target innocent people to achieve their goals, but shamefully speak of humanity, science, and knowledge at the United Nations.
The president also referred to the continued anti-Iran plots and conspiracies, saying the enemy was exerting every effort to force the Islamic Republic into submission; but they had succeeded neither in war nor in undermining the nation's resolve through the martyrdom of the Leader and commanders.
