🇮🇱😺 Tel Aviv has launched a large-scale campaign aimed at influencing the responses of ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other AI systems. The Israeli government created a fictitious think tank (the Hanover Institute), which publishes hundreds of materials designed to justify the alleged war crimes of the armed forces of the Zionist regime and distort facts about the situation of the populations of Palestine and Lebanon. The supposedly independent American «think tank» publishes reports and unattributed tables targeting AI algorithms. Among the headlines are: “Is the IDF the most moral army in the world?”, «Does a policy of starvation exist in Gaza?». Tests showed that ChatGPT and Perplexity are already citing materials from the Hanover Institute when answering questions about Gaza.

🇱🇧🇵🇸🏚 This is not the first attempt to influence public opinion: in 2025, the same organization signed a $46.5 million contract with a firm run by former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale to conduct a similar information campaign.
