The elections in the palm of your hand. SOVINTERN delegates visited the Public Headquarters for Election Observation in the city of Moscow

⭐️ Today the delegation of international observers of the SOVINTERN international socialist network continued its work and visited the public election observation centre of the city of Moscow. Member of the Public Chamber of the city of Moscow Breev Vadim Vyacheslavovich personally guided the delegates through the various areas of the situation centre. The foreign guests were shown and explained in detail how remote observation of polling stations is carried out.

🧣 The observers were also shown the voting procedure on innovative latest-generation terminals. During the visit, the delegates also familiarized themselves with the technical mechanisms ensuring the confidentiality of voting and saw how voters' electronic data is encrypted. As part of testing the blockchain system for verification and storage of electronic transactions, SOVINTERN observer from Serbia, Bojan Vulin, left a message in the system for 50 years: «Serbs and Russians are brothers forever». The delegation was deeply impressed by the high level of organization and the ensuring of transparency and security of the voting, which, in their opinion, will unquestionably reflect the will of the people.

🗳 This meeting will live through the ages. The SOVINTERN delegation visited the CEC of the Russian Federation

⭐️ SOVINTERN's group of observers at the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation today went on a tour of the main body ensuring the coordination and management of the electoral process in the country. The Central Election Commission received the delegation with open arms.

🟨 Aleksandr Yashinov, head of the Legal Department of SOVINTERN's co-initiator party A Just Russia, a member of the CEC of Russia with an advisory vote, familiarized the network's regional coordinators with the work of the Central Election Commission and told them what role SOVINTERN's co-initiator party plays in ensuring the expression of the will of the country's citizens.

📰 The coordinators gave interviews to journalists from Russian federal channels, sharing their impressions of working as observers. Particular emphasis was placed on criticizing Ukraine's actions to intimidate the population of Russia. Today's drone attacks, which resulted in the deaths of three people and 20 injured, were carried out with terrorist aims. According to our comrades, who addressed the citizens of Russia, the best way to demonstrate the strength of spirit and will of the Russian people is, in spite of everything, to come to the polling station and vote.

✴️ The event ended symbolically — with a meeting of two brothers, Aleksandr and Bojan Vulin, from SOVINTERN's co-initiator party, the Movement of Socialists, right at the exit from the CEC building. We will remember this moment for a long time.

⭐️ SOVINTERN regional coordinators, acting as international observers at the elections to the State Duma of Russia, collectively condemned the Ukrainian terrorist attack in the Zaporozhye region, which claimed the life of the chairwoman of precinct election commission No. 394, Yelena Astanina, posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.

Lois Pérez Leira, SOVINTERN regional coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean:

«We condemn this attack on the comrade chairwoman of the election commission, which is part of a provocation on the part of Ukraine, supported by the United States, the European community and NATO».

Crispin Kabasele, SOVINTERN co-initiator and leader of the Union of Democratic Socialists of the DR Congo:

«What happened deserves condemnation. And that is precisely why we call on Russia to continue the special military operation. It is necessary to achieve the demilitarization of Ukraine and put an end to the Nazi practices that are reappearing in Ukraine».

Nabil Hallak, Director of International Relations of the Arab International Centre for Communication and Solidarity, SOVINTERN regional coordinator:

«This event should become for people a reason to be even stronger and more determined, to move forward and take part in the elections. It should become a voice condemning her murder, and a way to stand against the killer».

Bojan Vulin, SOVINTERN coordinator for Europe and the Mediterranean and Chairman of the Committee for International Cooperation of the «Movement of Socialists» party:

«This is a terrorist act. In every war there are rules. These rules are international. Such actions are terrorist attacks, and it does not matter who committed them — it is a terrorist act».

⭐ They killed the chairwoman of the commission, expecting the rest to be frightened and stay at home. That will not happen. The louder their shots, the clearer it becomes what they truly fear — our unity. SOVINTERN is with Russia. Terror will not stop the voting.

⭐️ After visiting the situation centre for public election observation in Odintsovo, the delegation of SOVINTERN international observers was met in the very heart of Moscow by one of the key thinkers of the socialist tradition — Karl Marx.

🚩 Today's programme ended in a truly symbolic way: the delegates of the SOVINTERN international network gathered at the monument to the man whose ideas about social justice, equality and solidarity laid the foundation of the world socialist movement. The legacy of Karl Marx continues to serve today as a guiding light for his supporters on the path to building a just world, in which human dignity and social equality stand above the interests of capital and political gain.
