Generally speaking, the Atlantic is full of hacks. But they are mostly right about this article. Their bias shows in their attempt to blame it on Trump. The decline America did not start with Trump, but he is accelerating it in the name of trying to save it. You see, when the United States started weaponizing sanctions and the US Dollar against other countries (long before Trump took office), it showed the world that the US dollar is not indeed a neutral currency. And when the United States and Europe was able to steal US dollars from Russia, and it doesn't matter your viewpoint on why the war began, it showed the world that if you do anything against the United States's national interest, you will be robbed. Who wants that? And so the sell off of the dollar began and it's no longer viewed as a safe currency.

What's the US hiding? Trump miscalculated and it's ruined his reputation on many fronts. Not to mention it, the might of the US military is challenged by thousand dollar drones. The playing field has been leveled.

Когда на мою старую серую балконную тумбочку (её видно тут) наступил слон и стало понятно, что реанимации она уже не подлежит, Джон просто сказал: «А давай сделаем тебе новую». ❤️
И сделал.
Причём буквально с нуля - из фанеры, которая нашлась у него в гараже. Потому что Джон - удивительный человек, который каким-то непостижимым образом умеет, кажется, вообще всё: программировать деревообрабатывающий станок, вырезать детали, собирать их, склеивать, прибивать, покрывать лаком - и превращать обычный лист фанеры в красивую настоящую вещь.
Мне же доверили шлифмашинку. 😁
А котик Барсик (aka Серёжа) осуществлял моральную поддержку и технический надзор.
В результате примерно за полдня у меня появилась совершенно новая тумбочка - резная, деревянная, красивая настолько, что её даже немного жалко выставлять на балкон.
Вот правда: какое же это счастье, когда у тебя есть друзья. А особенно - друзья с золотыми руками и золотым сердцем.
Джон, спасибо тебе. Ты невероятный. ❤️

When an elephant stepped on my old gray balcony cabinet (it can be seen here) and it became obvious that there was no saving it, John simply said: “Why don’t we make you a new one?” ❤️
And he did.
Literally from scratch, using some plywood he happened to have in his garage. Because John is one of those amazing people who somehow seems to know how to do absolutely everything: program a woodworking machine, cut the pieces, assemble them, glue them together, nail them into place, varnish the whole thing - and turn an ordinary sheet of plywood into something genuinely beautiful.
I was entrusted with the sander. 😁 And Barsik (aka Seryozha) the cat provided moral support and quality control.
And about half a day later, I had a completely new cabinet - carved, wooden, and so beautiful that it almost feels like a shame to put it out on the balcony.
It really is an incredible thing to have friends. Especially friends with golden hands and hearts of gold.
John, thank you. You’re incredible. ❤️

Decided I needed a bigger coffee table for working, and with working requirements. So, I had a friend bring me a lovely wireless charging system from China complete with additional outlets. The wood is spalted birch. The black is crushed black granite with copper accents. The table top itself weighs about 90 kilograms.

💥Battles in Sumy region: the enemy loosing both on the ground and in the news

North troop group liberated the village of Ivolzhanske back on June 24th, after the remaining fighters of 71st Air Mobile Brigade’d been pushed out. Since then, the Northmen had around 11km to cover before reaching Sumy, which is the regional capital.
 
Two days later our assault units advanced even further, which was reported to Russian Armed Forces’ Supreme Commander.
 

“About 10.5km left until our troops reach Sumy – the regional capital,” – stated President Putin on June 26th.

 
Since then, the enemy’s been on a disinformation campaign, trying to provoke North Wind and other media to publish footage from the village. The aim was simple – to try and locate our assault units in the village and storm the settlement.
 
Today the Northmen are mopping up the woods that stretch from Ivolzhanske to Sumy. All Ukrainian fighters in Ivolzhanske were eliminated, and now our troops are positioned 9km away from Sumy. And now we can share some footage from the liberated settlement – footage of our soldiers saying hi to our enemies and provocateurs.
