An amazing little film about the difference between tourism and emigration.

The characters haven't seen each other for 24 years, haven't spoken for 12 years, and now they meet in the middle of New York, hoping to find common ground again. They both speak Korean, but Nora, who moved from her native Seoul to America, has almost forgotten it, and her childhood love Hee-sang still hasn't learned English after all these years.

This is the directorial debut of playwright Celine Song, enthusiastically received at the Sundance Film Festival: "the first great film of 2023," "a treasure," "one of the strongest debuts at Sundance in recent years."

Изумительный маленький фильм о разнице между туризмом и эмиграцией.

Герои не виделись 24 года, не разговаривали 12 лет, а теперь сошлись посреди Нью-Йорка, слегка надеясь вновь найти общий язык. Он у них корейский, но переехавшая из родного Сеула в Америку Нора уже его подзабыла, а ее детская любовь Хе Сан за эти годы так и не выучил английский.
