🎬[art horror] The Fly / David Cronenberg, 1986 / in English with Russian and English subtitles

A disgusting body horror by David Cronenberg about the physical transformation of a human being into a fly.

An eccentric scientist conducts experiments with teleportation. Encouraged by the success of his experiments on animals, the protagonist decides to test the device on himself. Everything goes according to plan until an ordinary fly enters the chamber with him.

Cronenberg is a master at playing with feelings of disgust, horror and, at the same time, a painful fascination when faced with fantastic bodily transformations. His films are not known for their realism, but when it comes to naturalism, they certainly are.

🏆 Academy Award for Best Makeup.
