In the roaring twenties, when America was enjoying itself to the sound of jazz and every drifter dreamed of becoming a millionaire, several desperate young men met in the slums of New York. Clearing competitors out of the way, ruthlessly punishing traitors and brazenly carrying out elaborate scams, they became the kings of the criminal underworld during the golden age of Prohibition. They swore to give their lives for one another, knowing that friendship, duty and justice were what mattered most to them. Many years later, fate dealt cruelly with the legendary gangsters, forcing them to fulfill their oath. This happened once in America.
