🇬🇭🇳🇬🇸🇳🇹🇬 EBID approves $390m for projects in Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal and Togo
The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development approved $390m in financing for four projects at its 101st Ordinary Meeting in Lomé on 28 September 2026. The package includes $230m for Azumah Resources Ghana Limited to develop the Black Volta Gold Project, $50m for Ghanaian company MOSL Limited to support petroleum product supply, $100m for Phase II of Nigeria’s Kano-Maradi Standard Gauge Railway Project to acquire rolling stock and operational equipment, and $10m for the pilot phase of the West Africa Initiative for Climate-Smart Agriculture covering Ghana, Senegal and Togo.
EBID President Dr George Agyekum Donkor said the approvals were aimed at supporting productive activity, regional value chains, trade and employment. The financing forms part of the bank’s Growth, Resilience and Optimisation Strategy for 2026-2030.
