🇲🇱 Mali received Russian warplanes and helicopters

Mali has taken a delivery of warplanes and helicopters from Russia. There were approximately six planes and two helicopters at a ceremony attended by Russian ambassador Igor Gromyko and the head of Mali, Colonel Assimi Goita.

Mali's military said the shipment included one Sukhoi Su-25 attack plane designed to support ground troops; five Albatros L-39 and two Mil Mi-8s.

Since breaking ties with France, the regime in Mali has become reliant on its new military and political ally.
