🐓 A Chicken that Walks Backwards (1932)

Know who the little girl is? She's Flannery O'Connor, The great southern Gothic writer.

Throughout her life, O’Connor’s passion was raising chickens (and later Peafowl) and she kept several in the garden of her Savannah home.

She mentions the chicken in her book "Mystery and Manners". A backward walking chicken was so remarkable at the time that Pathé News sent a crew from New York to report on it. O'Connor was 6 when the video was recorded.

Why Are Jews on the Left?
Dennis Prager on "isms"

The most Pro-Communist press in the 1930's outside of the Soviet Union and inside the US was the Yiddish Press.

...Feminism, Environmentalism, Marxism, Socialism, and for some even Communism. You name it.

...Jews love isms. Jews are to isms, what Italians are to operas.

Promotional Film & Rare Footage

The car industry was finished by the end of the 90's.

Analogue instruments with beautiful practical designs gave way to soulless tablets. Metal and leather to cheap plastic, Colors to neutral black and white.

These series of changes which the States regulations played a huge role in, were a mirage of progress, for the worst.

🎬 Contact - 1997 (Based on Contact written by Carl Sagan)

Masterful acting by Jodie Foster (Dr. Eleanor Halloway) in Robert Zemeckis' masterpiece. Here she testifes before a governmental hearing led by a bipartisan congressional committee investigating the machine*'s failure to record physical proof.

She defends her un-provable journey through the cosmos by acknowledging she has no physical evidence, yet passionately asks the committee to accept her profound personal experience as truth.

Return to Planet Zebes (ゼーベス)

Metroid sets a gold standard for video #game atmosphere through evoking a sense of dread, vulnerability and profound loneliness. It's a masterclass in isolation, environmental storytelling and audio design.

As a fan of Space exploration films, Cosmic Horror and Sci-Fi, I’d like to share a guide on how to play classic Metroid titles on PC, and in my future posts, I plan to have a short review of some of my favorite Films in the genre.

METROID:
Skip the 1986 original and play Metroid: Zero Mission, a brilliant GBA remake. *Use mGBA*

METROID II:
AM2R - Stellar fan-made remake. A native PC application built using the engine style of Metroid: ZM. Fluid controls, fantastic level design, great soundtrack.

SUPER METROID:
Super Metroid Redux. A fantastic qol ROM hack, though opinions are mixed regarding its control changes. modernizes the classic title with GBA-style tweaks.

METROID FUSION:
GBA masterpiece. Widely considered the scariest game in the series. *Use mGBA*
