The Chosen One

If you ask me I'd say all in all, computer games are a waste of time. pure entertainment = escapism. The time spent on them could be used for activities that are far more rewarding.

But if I were forced to choose and play just one for the rest of my life, it would be nothing other than 'The Swapper'.

2D✓ Space✓ Lore✓ Puzzling✓
Haunting✓ Atmospheric✓

Cinematically, it draws inspiration from the Alien series and the film 2001: A Space Odyssey. In terms of video #game influences, the Metroid series and Limbo.

Forwarded from Aesthetica

"I often synonymous Gollum in The Lord of the Rings with our souls when we reject God and embrace our own self desires. Ultimately our sin kills us, and turns our beautiful souls made in God's image into something animalistic, and unrecognizable.

Smeagol or as commonly known as Gollum started off as one of the River Folk but as he delved into the Ring he became the monster Gollum. So disgusted with himself yet still attached to the ring he develops multiple personality disorder to cope with his failings.

This is a common theme amongst Sinners in reality. Those so attached to their sin will jump through mental gymnastics to cope or justify why they sin. All in all, we have to come to the decision, will we be like Gollum? Or will we be the Fellowship?"

They put many things in our laps in the name of advancement and progress and burned our lives. Populism and worship of the "will of the masses" and ballot boxes and ideas.

The so-called constructive and planning modern State was supposed to be an upgrade on the monarchy of the well-born but turned out it's come out of the anus of the devil. The new era belongs to the devil and contains nothing but lies.

Every bastard sold the poison of his being as sugar. We, who knew nothing of masculinity but a word, stretched out our necks for all these chains.

Miserere mei, Deus (Have mercy on me, O God) - 720P

Gregorio Allegri's haunting Miserere is famous for both its ethereal beauty and for the mystery surrounding its composition. It is written for 2 choirs who alternate phrases and then unite for a final resolution.

It is one of the most celebrated pieces of early sacred music. Miserere is as famous today as it was in the 17th and 18th centuries, when it was the most prized work in the repertory of papal choir in Rome. A setting of Psalm 51, it dates from 1638 and was sung annually in the Sistine Chapel until the 1870s.

Allegri's Miserere was filmed at St. Bartholomew the Great, London Tenebrae, directed by Nigel Short.
Produced and edited by John Coates.

Music Before the Fall (2/2)

Orchestral Music experts consider the harmonic structure of these folkish harmonies to be among the most complex, But this musical "complexity" is not the result of artificiality and abstraction. Like the complexity of a stream that is not a man-made invention. It is the purest sound of music in the world spanning thousands of years.

And the lyrics of course: natural, simple, spiritual. It is as if all birth, life, and death have been transformed into sound.

Modern music (Nearly of any kind) on the other hand is the epitome of artificiality, dishonesty, narcissism, and affectation. The "self" is everything; even when the lyrics appear religious, romantic, or spiritual.

Music Before the Fall (1/2)

I call old natural Folk Music/Hymns (The melodies and harmonies of the un-civilized tribes of the world) pure music. The form and style of this music reach their utmost purity, without the slightest ego-centric imposed additions. The pure spirit of these peoples does not invite arrogance or allow to exalt themselves. The "self" has become nothing.

They are far from the forbidden fruit (by reason or heavenly grace and inspiration), and for this reason they do not have civilization (non-city dwellers). Once upon a time, subtle colors of this spirit were visible in our own tribes and villages.

Werner Herzog on Psychoanalysis

Across fiction and documentary, Werner Herzog has spent more than five decades exploring obsession, ambition, survival, and humanity’s relationship with the natural world.

Beyond filmmaking, Herzog has become a cultural figure in his own right. His unmistakable voice, philosophical perspective, and candid public persona have made him a recognizable presence as a documentarian, interviewer, actor, and writer, with appearances ranging from The Simpsons to film and television projects across popular culture.

From Aguirre the Wrath of God and Fitzcarraldo to Grizzly Man, Cave of Forgotten Dreams, and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, Herzog’s work has left a singular mark on both narrative and documentary cinema.

[Modern] vs [Golden Age] Cartoons

Basically everything is reduced to numbers, Humans included. They see us as flesh and bone outside, chemical reactions inside.

The focus changed from letting passionate writers and artists do their thing to letting focus groups and analytics decide what gets the best numbers and engagement. They went from art to imposed formula, then chasing trends to maximize numbers.

They also have check-boxes of racial and so-called gender diversity to add, dumbing down plots and making characters ugly. There were diverse characters in the Classics (different animals for instance), but they weren't check-boxes. Each character was their own person, not mouth pieces and tokens.

🎥 Mysterious Castles of Clay (1978)
480P - English - No Subtitles

An incredible Oscar-nominated nature documentary directed by Joan and Alan Root (There is a second version narrated by Orson Welles).

As far as I know, a Termite colony is the only living society besides that of the humans that gather around a King and her Queen.

Albeit they act a lot smarter than the French🇫🇷 in protecting the Monarch. Termites know if the King and the Queen get hurt or removed, they're doomed.

Sixty voices sustain the piece inside a Cathedral that is 700 years old. No stage microphones; just natural acoustics and gothic reverberation. The sound takes it's time to die. each note carries the shadow of the last.

It rises in slow waves like something building with no turning back. Barber later arranged it for orchestra and it became known as Adagio for Strings. Decades later he requested it be played at his own funeral.

Aesthetica 🧠 Free Will vs Determinism Free Will vs Determinism has always been one of the great Philosophical debates. There are strong arguments for and against each one, and also paradoxes. As an example of paradoxes that debases 'Determinsm' is the existence of…
Determinism is a Precursor to Dictatorship

If one seeks to enslave men, one has to destroy their reliance on the validity of their own judgments and choices.

If one believes that reason and volition are impotent, one has to accept the rule of force.
