Masterful acting by Jodie Foster (Dr. Eleanor Halloway) in Robert Zemeckis' masterpiece. Here she testifes before a governmental hearing led by a bipartisan congressional committee investigating the machine*'s failure to record physical proof.
She defends her un-provable journey through the cosmos by acknowledging she has no physical evidence, yet passionately asks the committee to accept her profound personal experience as truth.
