Why is this picture hailed but the one with Delcy & Trump not?

To answer, Venezuela should not be compared to giant powerful countries not in the backyard of the US—but it is— and it is also held to this higher standard by westerners who do not live in it and can’t even elect decent politicians in our countries.

What’s happening in Venezuela is devastating. Utterly a case of the powerful overtaking a less powerful country at gun point, one with 0 chance in fighting it even though they IMO should have tried anyway.

Now the people of Venezuela are protesting, are acting, division is rising, and this of course benefits empire more. But it is up to them to decide and it is they who will face the consequences of those decisions. None of this suddenly happened with Maduro’s kidnapping and departure. There were changes within the government long before that. Decades of Chavismo don’t suddenly vanish overnight. That’s hogwash.

Maduro has not been mentioned publicly while Delcy stands next to Trump, which as a PR move is beyond disgusting and says it all. It’s an insult to everything Venezuela stood for. If I were in charge of their press I would be fuming. There is an absolute failure to explain what is happening, intentional or not. But public perception is most always not reality. Most don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes. It is impossible that one person manage a country’s affairs alone; agreements are reached by a group.

Venezuela are one of many nations who have lost much to empire and many more will fall to the evil Zionist-imperialist pursuit of the Donroe Doctrine and Pax Judaica. How long can ideologies live when you lack basic needs and are constantly under attack without the means to fight back? This depends on many things.

Venezuela isn’t and never was millennial old mighty Iran, so the comparisons are moot. Latin America are young countries, birthed from colonialism via Spain and Portugal into neocolonialism, coups and regime changes via the United States and west, similarly to African countries. They need allies. Not a reality for the far way Asian countries with armies and millennia of experience.

Yet people definitely have a double standards when more powerful China/Russia & their relations with Saudis, US and Israel. China continues trading with Israel and supplying Saudis against Yemen. China is a major trading partner for the US who imports everything from them.

Meanwhile Putin met with demons Kushner and Witcoff, and is entertaining deals with the devil for some fake peace. The Kremlin constantly compliments Trump, the war criminal, in charge of the empire persecuting the Balkanization of Russia—even after getting bombed by Kiev with US-NATO weapons and funding. Yet these narratives are twisted.

We can all angrily point and rail against Delcy’s seeming treachery but beyond that and beyond made up analysis from shady anon accounts we don’t know exactly what happened. Most people railing online will not endure the consequences of what is happening to Venezuelans and most wouldn’t last a day under sanctions or bombs. They’ll move on to the next story of the week.

Not sure if it’s racism or a form of blinded ignorance but this is constantly happening with analyses from westerners on countries in Latin America and “global south.”

Perhaps it’s only what US Americans and westerners who say they’re “anti imperialists” know to do: rail when their ideologies fall and cheer when they feel they’re winning, but never create anything remotely like it in this hemisphere.

In this reality only the most powerful countries with powerful militaries, and the resolve of resistance can dare face the US and its NATO contingent—if they choose. The empire is aligned, we are not and a united bloc to oppose empire is needed.

Analysis (most of it AI) that doesn’t take all of this into consideration is trash doing the bidding of empire. This isn’t a sport . This is reality and people’s lives. Remember that.
