When most have not lived but only vacation, and in countries where I have lived and I know much more than the headlines. To answer, Venezuela should not be compared to giant powerful countries not in the backyard of the US—but it is— and it is also held to this higher standard by westerners who do not live in it and can’t even elect decent politicians in our countries.

What’s happening in Venezuela is devastating. Utterly a case of the powerful overtaking a less powerful country at gun point, one with 0 chance in fighting it even though they IMO should have tried anyway.

Now the people of Venezuela are protesting, are acting, division is rising, and this of course benefits empire more. But it is up to them to decide and it is they who will face the consequences of those decisions. None of this suddenly happened with Maduro’s kidnapping and departure. There were changes within the government long before that. Decades of Chavismo don’t suddenly vanish overnight. That’s hogwash.

Maduro has not been mentioned publicly while Delcy stands next to Trump, which as a PR move is beyond disgusting and says it all. It’s an insult to everything Venezuela stood for. If I were in charge of their press I would be fuming. There is an absolute failure to explain what is happening, intentional or not. But public perception is most always not reality. Most don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes. It is impossible that one person manage a country’s affairs alone; agreements are reached by a group.

Venezuela are one of many nations who have lost much to empire and many more will fall to the evil Zionist-imperialist pursuit of the Donroe Doctrine and Pax Judaica. How long can ideologies live when you lack basic needs and are constantly under attack without the means to fight back? This depends on many things.

Venezuela isn’t and never was millennial old mighty Iran, so the comparisons are moot. Latin America are young countries, birthed from colonialism via Spain and Portugal into neocolonialism, coups and regime changes via the United States and west, similarly to African countries. They need allies. Not a reality for the far way Asian countries with armies and millennia of experience.

Yet people definitely have a double standards when more powerful China/Russia & their relations with Saudis, US and Israel. China continues trading with Israel and supplying Saudis against Yemen. China is a major trading partner for the US who imports everything from them.

Meanwhile Putin met with demons Kushner and Witcoff, and is entertaining deals with the devil for some fake peace. The Kremlin constantly compliments Trump, the war criminal, in charge of the empire persecuting the Balkanization of Russia—even after getting bombed by Kiev with US-NATO weapons and funding. Yet these narratives are twisted.

We can all angrily point and rail against Delcy’s seeming treachery but beyond that and beyond made up analysis from shady anon accounts we don’t know exactly what happened. Most people railing online will not endure the consequences of what is happening to Venezuelans and most wouldn’t last a day under sanctions or bombs. They’ll move on to the next story of the week.

Not sure if it’s racism or a form of blinded ignorance but this is constantly happening with analyses from westerners on countries in Latin America and “global south.”

Perhaps it’s only what US Americans and westerners who say they’re “anti imperialists” know to do: rail when their ideologies fall and cheer when they feel they’re winning, but never create anything remotely like it in this hemisphere.

In this reality only the most powerful countries with powerful militaries, and the resolve of resistance can dare face the US and its NATO contingent—if they choose. The empire is aligned, we are not and a united bloc to oppose empire is needed.

Analysis (most of it AI) that doesn’t take all of this into consideration is trash doing the bidding of empire. This isn’t a sport . This is reality and people’s lives. Remember that.

TRUMP THREATENS TO ANNIHILATE IRAN IN INSANE RANT

Trump’s threatened Iran with the same at least 7 other times. He can bark but none of what he says is real.

Trump’s approval rating has fallen to about 32% and 2/3 US Americans think we are losing the war with Iran, as gas prices hit past $7 per gallon in some states.

At the UNGA meeting, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to annihilate Iran, delivering one of the most serious threats of his UN address, publicly framing the choice as either a new agreement with Tehran or what he called the “annihilation” of the Islamic Republic.

Speaking before the UN General Assembly, Trump said he believed a deal could still come after the U.S. midterm elections, claiming Iranian officials were “waiting to see” how he and Republicans performed. At the same time, he insisted electoral politics would not influence his decision and reiterated that his central demand is that Iran never obtain a nuclear weapon.

Trump spoke of allowing Iran to “rebuild” and potentially become one of the world’s great countries, before asking whether he should instead destroy the Islamic Republic and leave it with “no chance of survival.” His remarks reportedly amounted to an explicit warning that further military action remained on the table if an agreement was not reached.

The rhetoric comes as Washington and Tehran continue navigating an increasingly dangerous confrontation, with Trump simultaneously presenting himself as open to negotiations while making clear that the alternative, in his words, could be total destruction.

Now this isn't the first time, but about the 8th time he’s made threats of nuking or ending Iran and yet here we are. Based on public perception, the United States is largely not winning the war, and at home, Trump faces growing discontent, high fuel prices and job uncertainty. Trump’s speech has been perceived as crazy and unhinged by many online, though Iran seems to have paid little attention to it.

All Smiles with Trump?

Acting Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez met US President Donald Trump in New York on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, and took this picture with a big smile, as relations between Caracas and Washington undergo a dramatic and controversial transformation.

“We held a historic meeting with the president of the United States, Donald Trump, during which we discussed strengthening bilateral relations,” Rodríguez announced afterwards.

However, the language of cooperation obscured the unequal circumstances surrounding this supposed “new phase.” The meeting came only months after US forces attacked Venezuela and kidnapped President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores in an illegal military operation conducted without authorisation from either the UN Security Council or the US Congress.

Rodríguez nevertheless thanked the Trump administration for assisting Venezuela following June’s earthquakes and supporting the country’s reintegration into multilateral institutions.

“Venezuela and the United States share a historical relationship that, in this new phase, we are called to channel through dialogue,” she said. “We will continue to promote diplomacy in service of the national interest.”

But that “historical relationship” has been defined less by mutual respect than by US interference, sanctions, economic warfare and repeated attempts to control Venezuela’s political future and vast natural resources.

The talks reportedly focused on energy, mining and security. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles and senior homeland-security advisor Stephen Miller joined Trump.

Rodríguez did not publicly indicate whether she raised the continued imprisonment of Maduro and Flores, or whether she requested permission to visit them while in the United States.

The spectacle of Venezuela’s acting president discussing oil, minerals, and “cooperation” with the very administration responsible for kidnapping the country’s elected president represents a remarkable victory for US coercive diplomacy and imperialism.

Addressing the UN General Assembly during its 81st session, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian rejected Trump's description of Iran as “terrorist", stressing that Iran has instead been the victim of US and Israeli terrorism and aggression.

Pezeshkian said that the US and “Israel” targeted Iranian schools, hospitals, universities, healthcare centers, and infrastructure, while stressing that Iran defended itself and “did not bend the knee.”

He also said Iran’s response did not target civilian populations, stressing that the US-Israeli attacks against Iran were violations of international law.

Venezuela’s acting President Delcy Rodríguez arrived in New York’s Teterboro Airport on September 21 to lead the country’s delegation during the 81st UN General Assembly.

Venezuelan officials and John Barrett, the top U.S. diplomat assigned to Venezuela, received her. Rodríguez is scheduled to meet Donald Trump on Tuesday in New York, their first in-person meeting since she assumed Venezuela’s interim presidency, after the U.S. military operation and kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro in January.

U.S. Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz described it as a “pull-aside” during Trump’s UNGA leaders’ reception rather than a formal bilateral meeting. The White House has not publicly detailed the agenda. The meeting comes as U.S.-Venezuela relations undergo a major shift from hostility during Maduro’s administration to cooperation.

Rodríguez’s delegation is already discussing energy, mining, and Venezuela’s massive debt restructuring, as Rodríguez met with officials from the IDB, IMF, and World Bank after arriving in New York.

The two governments also announced a major energy agreement last month involving U.S. participation in Venezuela’s oil sector. Rodriguez is also in New York for UNGA diplomacy and is expected to address the General Assembly later this week.

One major question remains unanswered: will Rodríguez raise their case with Trump, or even seek to visit imprisoned President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores while she is in New York?

Both remain detained in the United States after being seized by US forces during January’s military operation in Venezuela. The operation was seen as illegal by many observers as it was carried out without UN Security Council authorisation or prior authorisation from the US Congress.

Cuba 🇨🇺 is in darkness again, and this time it may be hard to come back from it.

Cuba’s national power grid collapsed Friday, leaving millions without electricity in at least the sixth major nationwide collapse since President Donald Trump cut off fuel supplies to the island in January.

The crisis predates the latest U.S. measures, as Cuba has an ageing electrical system, obsolete infrastructure and a severe economic crisis. But according to the Associated Press, things have worsened dramatically since January, when Washington imposed an “energy blockade”, aka sanctions and a ban on oil, aimed at forcing a change in Cuba’s political system.

Those restrictions have prevented Cuba from obtaining fuel needed to operate its thermoelectric plants and replacement parts needed to maintain its deteriorating infrastructure. Since the restrictions were imposed, only one tanker of fuel from Russia has reached the island in March, and the result is increasingly brutal for ordinary people.

Blackouts mean no water pumps, no refrigeration, no cooking, disrupted transportation, reduced working hours, flight cancellations and interrupted internet and telephone service. Hospitals and emergency facilities have had to be prioritised as authorities scramble to rebuild portions of the grid. Even when the system is functioning, some Cubans now endure outages lasting more than 30 consecutive hours.

In Havana, food, water, and electricity are scarce, and the population is exhausted. By Friday evening, electricity had returned to only around 5% of Havana’s roughly 862,000 consumers.

Analysts note that whatever Washington calls its neo-colonialist Cuba policy, the mechanism is clear: place economic pressure in an attempt to produce political change, while paying no mind to civilians who live with the consequences. Those consequences are increasingly hard to separate from the sanctions themselves when the restrictions directly target the fuel and equipment needed to keep an electrical grid running.

Drones vs Drone war

Moscow has since retaliated at Kiev with a large drone strike. But this will continue because the idea is to provoke a war on Europe as these weapons are coming from Washington and Europe. Russia has every right to attack them. But if it does Europe’s diabolical lies are then proven true, though we know that’s the game they play.

And to point is to also attack Moscow’s emergency sector and sanction it further. This is being dragged out to the detriment of Russia as Ukraine as destroyed as robbed of any status of nation since at least 2014, still has the entire backing of the West and Israel.

Unless of course Russia makes a deal with Washington and the 5th columnist inside can have their way. The remaining fight is nationalism as a sovereign entity or international capitalism as eventually a Balkanised country, not what it is now.

Russia will be forced to defend its bases in Khmeimim and naval base in Tartous, perhaps making deals with Turkey (again) which leaves Russia in a precarious position long term, desperate to maintain their launch pad into Africa.

If the Kurds hold on to the north-east, it will serve Israel and provide the gateway to Iraqi Kurdistan. In any case, turmoil will reign for a long time, in Syria.
