Telegram has introduced Passkey login — an additional way to sign in without SMS, where the key is stored on your device and confirmed via biometrics or a PIN code.

⚫️ Passkey-based login is now available in stable Telegram builds
⚫️ The key is stored locally on the device, not sent over the network
⚫️ Sign-in is confirmed via Face ID, fingerprint or PIN instead of SMS

⚫️ Open “Settings” → “Privacy” → “Passkey”
⚫️ Choose a key manager: Apple, Google or system
⚫️ Allow key storage and confirm activation
⚫️ Next time you log in, use biometrics or PIN instead of SMS

⚫️ Passkeys reduce the risk of losing access when SMS or SIM become a weak point
